Students in the 7th grade art elective created spooky creations to decorate the gym for the middle school Halloween Dance. Elementary students got to make masks inspired by Mexican lucha libre masks, Day of the Dead Calaveras, Chinese opera masks, Venetian masquerade masks, traditional African masks, or their favorite character. 6th graders created detailed silhouettes inspired by Japanese shadow puppets.

Students in the 8th grade completed name plate projects inspired by the word art of Ed Ruscha. 7the graders created 3D lettered postcards inspired by vintage postcards of the 1950's. 6th graders created an identity project by choosing an object that represents them and filling it with adjectives and words that represent them.
4th graders from Mrs. Myers class enjoyed their 1st of 4 trips to The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Students visited the Hall of African/Oceanic art and discussed the art of Abdoulaye Konate, El Anatsui, and an Asmat Body Mask.
